Update: The Reward - Tales of Alethrion has added more backer rewards!

In my previous post, one of the things that I lamented about the Kickstarter for The Reward - Tales of Alethrion was that there weren't enough rewards. The people behind the Kickstarter must have heard that a lot, because they have now added a lot of new rewards to entice people to pledge, or to raise their pledges if they had previously pledged. Even better, a lot of those rewards are quite reasonably priced!



There is now just over a week to go, and they have only raised about half their goal. That means that you should be as generous as possible! If it gets funded, you'll have been part of that, and if it doesn't get funded, you'll at least get the satisfaction of knowing you did what you could, plus you won't have had to pay any money. You win either way, so what do you say? That $22 short comic sounds pretty good, doesn't it? How about that $35 art book PDF?

Still not convinced? There is also a game you can play. True to form, you need a bro with you, as the The Reward Game is designed for two players on the same keyboard.

If you're like Kate Beaton and you liked the original, but hope "women characters will do more than be thrown on the backs of horses," you're in luck! The show's creators have posted in the Kickstarter's FAQ a statement saying that they hope to include women in more interesting roles in the series. (I hesitate to say "Strong Female Characters" only because we all know how Kate Beaton feels about that phrase.)

I hope this project really hits its stride and that all the potential backers who have been sitting on the fence decide to jump aboard. I'd like to see this series become a reality. Let's make it happen!
